Dave Rubin is a ten year veteran of the NYC stand-up circuit. In addition
for performing regularly at all the major comedy clubs (Carolines, Gotham,
Comix, etc.), he also started two clubs run by comedians themselves, Joe
Franklin's Comedy Club and The Comedy Company. After 7 years in the
closet, he came out only a few years ago and things really started to fall
into place. The here! Network quickly picked him up as the host of "Ben
and Dave," "Hot Gay Comics" and "Topical." Hot Gay Comics Live was also
picked up by the network with Dave as the host, and debuted on
television in November, 2008. Dave is now the current host of "Ben and
Dave's Six Pack," a popular comedy show on iTunes.
Like most comedians in New York City, Dave lives on the Upper Wet Side
of Manhattan. He has been with his boyfriend, Carlos, for almost four
years and lives with his dog, Emma, who was rescued from Hurricane
Katrina, in New Orleans. Dave also plays a tremendous amount of
basketball and recently purchased a Nintendo Wii, though is afraid to take
